Bayern Munich continues its interest in signing Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon, but the financial demands of the English club are the biggest obstacle to completing the deal at the moment, according to Sky Sports.

According to the same source, negotiations for Gordon's transfer to Bayern Munich are still ongoing in terms of the general framework of the contract between the player and the German club, but the deal is stalled at this stage without decisive progress.

Bayern Munich continues to monitor the player, but Newcastle's demand for a value ranging between 80 and 90 million euros represents a significant obstacle to completing the deal, especially since the English club needs high revenues, which the Bavarian club is reluctant to pay.

According to the report, Bayern Munich's management is still interested in the player, with all contract details available in terms of salary and contract duration, as the club plans to offer a five-year contract to the English star, while there are also interests from several other clubs.

Sky Sports confirmed that the player is open to the idea of a transfer during the summer transfer window, making the possibility of his departure from Newcastle plausible.

Anthony Gordon played for Everton before moving to Newcastle in 2023 and is considered one of the standout players on the flanks due to his speed, dynamism, and high physical effort.
