Hashim Reza: Comments Before Facing Nawroz and Sets His Goals

The Police Club held its press conference for the Nawroz match, tomorrow, Tuesday at the Nawroz Stadium in Sulaymaniyah, as part of the 32nd round of the Iraqi Stars League.

Team manager Hashim Reza and player Fahd Al-Yousef spoke about the importance of the match and confirmed the readiness of the 'Green Harp' to continue chasing the lead despite some absences.

The Police team manager described the Nawroz match as having a highly competitive nature, noting that the Sulaymaniyah team is considered a respectable team due to its distinguished technical staff, as well as playing the match on their home ground and among their fans, which gives them a relative advantage.

Reza confirmed that the Police team has completed its preparations well and is mentally and physically ready despite some absences. He said, 'I have full confidence in all the players and their ability to compensate for any shortage.'

He added that the team is accustomed to appearing strong in crucial matches, where the players show high spirit and great commitment to achieve a positive result, snatch points, and make the fans happy.

Regarding coach Ahmed Salah's leadership, Reza explained that the coach has prior knowledge of most of the players due to his previous experience with the club, which has positively reflected on the team's quick cohesion, expressing his aspiration to continue achieving positive results in the upcoming rounds.

Police player Fahd Al-Yousef emphasized that facing Nawroz is not easy, given the good levels the opposing team has presented recently, which requires high readiness and focus.

He confirmed that the Police team enters all its matches with the ambition to win, as one of the contenders for the league title. He said, 'Our goal is to continue the positive results in the upcoming rounds.'

He concluded his talk about the technical staff, saying that Captain Ahmed Salah is not new to the team, which helped in the quick cohesion among the players and the smooth application of technical ideas on the field.

Different Calculations

The Police team enters the match in second place with 67 points, chasing the leading Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya by 7 points with 5 rounds left in the season. Any stumble could cost them more distance from the dream.

Nawroz, on the other hand, occupies the ninth place with 47 points and is having a good season based on a distinguished group of players and will try to exploit the home ground and crowd factors to stop the 'Harp' train.
