Al Ahly's Squad List for the Zamalek Clash: Torop Announces Names and Significant Absences

Yves Torup, the head coach of Al-Ahly club, announced his team's squad in preparation for the match against Zamalek, scheduled to take place on Friday evening at Cairo International Stadium, as part of the fifth round of the Nile League Championship playoffs.

The match will take place at 8:00 PM Cairo time, with an audience of approximately 40,000 spectators, in one of the most important clashes of the current football season.

The list for Al Ahly was as follows:

Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Hamza Alaa, Yassin Marei, Ahmed Ramadan Beckham, Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan, Mahmoud Hassan Trezeguet, Mohamed Sherif, Mohamed Shoukry, Marwan Attia, Hussein El-Shahat, Achraf Bencharki, Hadi Riad, Emam Ashour, Aliou Dieng, Ahmed Eid, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Amr El-Gazzar, Marwan Osman, Taher Mohamed Taher, and Ahmed Nabil Kouka.

On the other hand, several players are absent from Al-Ahly's lineup for various reasons. The team is missing the services of Yasser Ibrahim and Youssef Belamri due to injury, in addition to Karim Fouad's absence due to lack of technical readiness.

The list also saw the exclusion of Kamouish, Siha, and Omar Said Moawad for technical reasons, while Mohamed Hani is absent due to suspension from accumulated cards.

The meeting comes amidst a strong battle for the top spot in the Nile League standings, with Zamalek leading the table with 50 points, followed by Pyramids in second place with 47 points, while Al Ahly holds third place with 44 points.

The match holds great significance for both teams, given the close points and the intense competition for the league title, which gives the encounter a decisive nature in the championship race.
