The eyes of the Asian continent are turning towards an anticipated football summit with a historical flavor, as Saudi Arabia's Al-Ahli seeks to continue writing its continental achievement against a formidable Japanese opponent in a much-anticipated final with a special touch.

Al-Ahli Saudi Club of Jeddah, led by German coach Matthias Jaissle, is preparing for a high-stakes match against Japan's Machida Zelvia in the final of the Asian Champions League for the elite in the 2025/2026 season.

The highly anticipated match will be held at King Abdullah International Stadium "Al-Inma" in the city of Jeddah, amidst great fan anticipation for the decisive continental showdown between the two teams.

Al-Ahli Saudi secured its spot in the final after defeating Japan's Vissel Kobe with a score of (2-1) in the semi-final, while Machida Zelvia qualified following an exciting victory over UAE's Shabab Al Ahli Dubai with a score of (1-0).

In the same context, coach Matthias Jaissle is aiming to continue his continental success, especially in light of the match that holds a special significance against Japanese coaching schools.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah," Jaissle faces a new challenge against the Japanese school, as Japanese coach Jo Kuroda has been leading Machida Zelvia since February 2023.

Yaisleh has previously faced only one Japanese team, during the final of the Asian Champions League for the elite in the 2024/2025 season, when he led Al-Ahli to win the title after defeating Kawasaki Frontale with a score of (2-0), marking a historic achievement as the first in the club's history.

The German coach hopes to repeat his success against Japanese teams, succeed in retaining the continental title, and affirm Al Ahly's dominance in the new edition of the Asian championship.
