Real Madrid coach Álvaro Arbeloa appeared at a press conference following the 1-1 draw against Betis in the 32nd round of the Spanish League, at the La Cartuja Stadium.

The coach said about the foul on Mendy in the Betis goal incident: "For me, it's quite clear. In such situations where you use your body, it's enough for them to slightly disrupt your balance for you to fall. But to understand that, you need a good understanding of football, which I think we lack. Many, especially those who make such decisions, don't know or understand it."

Regarding the penalty against Ricardo Rodriguez: "I think I mentioned this earlier. It was a clear penalty; his hand was extended and not even close to his body, on a shot from Ibrahim. It's a very clear incident, just like the previous one. Mendy was ahead on the field, and if someone grabs you or even touches your arm... for me, this is intuitive in the world of football, but it's not the first time something like this has happened to us, and I believe these two decisions significantly affected the match."

He added: "It's clear that we suffered another disappointment in the final minutes, as has happened to us many times before, and it's a result I don't think we deserved because we missed opportunities. There was also a very clear penalty in the first half, which I believe we could have capitalized on to decide the match."

He continued regarding Mbappe's substitution: "I don't know Mbappe's condition, he was feeling some discomfort, and we will see how his situation develops in the coming days."

Regarding the goals we conceded in the final minutes: "If we had a clear reason, we would have corrected it. When you play with such close results, these situations can happen, and it's clear we haven't been very fortunate."

He concluded regarding not calling up Ceballos: "Did something happen between you and Ceballos? I always choose the players I see as suitable."
