Inter Decides Akanji's Fate
Friday 24-04-2026
Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Manuel Akanji is on the verge of a permanent move to Inter Milan from Manchester City, with all details finalized in preparation for the official announcement expected in May.

Romano clarified via his account on Platform X that the deal will cost Inter's coffers around 15 million euros in exchange for permanently acquiring the services of the Swiss defender, following the period he spent with the team.

Akanji joined Inter last summer on a season-long loan, with an option for a permanent transfer, which was activated after the coaching staff was convinced of the player's level.

During the current season, Akanji participated in 42 matches across various competitions, scoring two goals without managing to assist any. He provided a notable defensive contribution that helped enhance the stability of the team's backline.
