UEFA Imposes Financial Fines on Bayern Munich
The European Football Association imposed financial fines on Bayern Munich due to violations that occurred during their match against Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
Bayern Munich succeeded in eliminating Real Madrid from the quarter-finals after winning four goals to three at their home stadium, but that encounter cost the Bavarian team financial penalties due to several infractions.
According to the European Football Association, Bayern Munich was fined 14,000 euros for blocking public passages, along with 5,625 euros for throwing projectiles, in addition to 30,000 euros for broadcasting inappropriate messages during a sporting event.
The association also imposed the largest fine of 40,000 euros for disturbing public order, raising the total financial penalties imposed on the club to 89,625 euros due to all the violations that occurred during the match held at their home against Real Madrid.
