Suspension of Majrashi and Financial Fine on Al-Ahli
The Asian Football Confederation imposed disciplinary sanctions on Al-Ahli Club, which included financial fines and the suspension of one of its players, according to press reports.
The sanctions included imposing a total fine estimated at about 33.7 thousand riyals, as part of the commitment to implementing the regulations governing the continental competition.
It was also decided to suspend player Ali Majrashi for three matches, including the automatic penalty, following his expulsion during the team's match against Johor of Malaysia.
The suspension decision came after an intervention deemed as "dangerous violent play," necessitating strict measures against him by the relevant committee.
In addition to the suspension, a fine of $2,000 was imposed on the player for the violation he committed during the match.
The Asian Football Confederation granted the club and the player a 30-day period to officially pay the imposed financial fines.
These sanctions are part of maintaining discipline and adherence to regulations, aimed at preserving the integrity of competitions and ensuring that matches proceed according to the approved rules.
