The South African team Mamelodi Sundowns has qualified for the CAF Champions League final after defeating the Tunisian team Esperance with a 2-0 aggregate score in the semifinals.

Sundowns will face the winner of the match between Royal Army and Renaissance Berkane in the final, which is scheduled to take place in May 2026.

The second leg match between the two teams witnessed a decisive moment in the 35th minute when a penalty was awarded to Sundowns. The player Brian Leon initially missed the penalty after the Tunisian goalkeeper Bashir Ben Said saved it, but the ball returned to him, allowing him to score.

Sundowns entered the second leg with the advantage of having won the first leg 1-0, which gave them a strong boost before securing the qualification ticket on their home ground and in front of their fans.
