Medhat Shalaby: This is the reason for the decline in the performance of some Al-Ahly players
The media personality Medhat Shalaby revealed the reason behind the decline in the performance of some Al-Ahly players in recent times.
Shalaby said in statements on "MBC Masr 2" channel: "What has happened since the Al Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra match until now is a mockery of Egyptian football. These matters negatively affect the reputation of Egyptian football."
He added: "All that happened was to stir up Al-Ahly's public opinion to divert it in a completely different direction. It's not wrong to make mistakes, but the bigger mistake is to cover these mistakes with things that shouldn't be used to cover them so we can correct the errors."
He continued: "Al-Ahly made unbalanced contracts with the players, which created a big problem in the dressing room and caused a decline in the performance of some players."
He continued: "Is this Imam Ashour? Imam Ashour is thinking about the millions he was supposed to receive."
He continued: "I said these contracts shouldn't have such discrepancies... We said the head coach's contract shouldn't be in this strange and odd manner because we're not hiring Guardiola or Mourinho to impose such unfair conditions on the club."
