Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer appeared in press statements after the 4-3 victory over Real Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals at the Allianz Arena, allowing the Bavarians to advance to the semi-finals, after also winning the first leg 2-1.

The goalkeeper said in his talk: 'It was a big night in the Champions League, for us as players, for the fans, and the neutrals. We kept our calm and stayed in the game after the goals we conceded. We waited for our chance and in the end, we made it 3-3 and 4-3. I think it was a deserved victory.'

He added about his mistake in Guler's goal: 'I actually wanted to pass the ball to Stanisic but I didn't pass it well. Guler acted excellently with the first shot. As we saw later with the free kick, he has a very excellent left foot.'

He concluded about facing PSG in the semi-finals: 'Our matches in recent years have always been close, in the Champions League and the Club World Cup. These two matches will not be different. I look forward to the match in Paris and then here with the support of our fans. They were fantastic tonight and I hope they repeat that against Paris.'
