Fabregas: Proud of Como's Courage, We Will Continue to Learn from Mistakes
Cesc Fabregas, the head coach of Como, spoke after his team's match against Inter Milan which ended with a 4-3 victory for Inter in the Italian league competition.
Fabregas said: "I don't know what position we are in the standings because I haven't followed it since the beginning of the season and I won't follow it now."
He continued: "My team proved once again that it is brave and enthusiastic, and even in defeat, it showed strong character. It's true we made mistakes, but we are a young team and faced an opponent that punishes every mistake."
He added: "I don't like to talk about tactical aspects today because we spoke on the field, and the numbers confirm that we shot 20 times at Inter's goal, which is something not many teams do."
He continued: "If you had told me two years ago that we would compete with Inter in this way, I would have thought we were playing a friendly match, but now we stand on equal footing with them."
He continued: "Talking about tactics is not the most important thing, what makes the difference is the mentality, and there is a slight difference between winning and losing."
He continued: "Facing Inter was an important experience, and we have to learn from the mistakes we made because we want to continuously improve."
He concluded his remarks by saying: "I am very proud of my players, and from the first day two and a half years ago, we have been working hard and seeing development, and there is a clear desire to improve and courage in facing any opponent."
