CAF Appoints Mauritanian Referee for the Match Between Royal Army and Renaissance Berkane
The refereeing committee of the Confederation of African Football has announced the officiating team assigned to manage the anticipated match between the Royal Army and Renaissance Berkane, as part of the first leg of the CAF Champions League semi-finals.
The task of officiating the match was assigned to the Mauritanian referee Dahane Beida, in a strong game between two Moroccan teams aiming to achieve a positive result that brings them closer to the continental final.
The main referee is assisted by Angolan Gerson Emiliano dos Santos as the first assistant, and Cameroonian Elvis Guy Nguegoue as the second assistant, while Abdulaziz Bouh has been appointed as the fourth official.
Regarding the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) technology, Tunisian Haitham Qirat was selected as the main referee for the VAR, assisted by Ghanaian Daniel Nii Ayi Laryea.
The match is scheduled to take place next Saturday at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the capital, Rabat, in what is considered one of the most significant events of the tournament this season.
