Real Madrid Announces Militao's Readiness After 111 Days of Absence
Saturday 28-03-2026
The Brazilian defender Éder Militão is nearing a return to the field with Real Madrid after a long absence due to injury. Coach Álvaro Arbeloa confirmed that the player is in the final stages of recovery and may reappear in the upcoming match against Mallorca in La Liga.

Militao is expected to return next Saturday at the Son Moix Stadium, but all indications suggest that he will start the match on the bench, as part of the club's plan to gradually reintegrate him into the match atmosphere.

During the current week, the Brazilian defender participated in three full training sessions with the team from Wednesday to Friday, which boosted optimism within the coaching staff regarding his readiness. However, Arbeloa adheres to a clear principle in dealing with players returning from injuries, which is to give them enough time to return gradually without rushing.

Militao sustained an injury on December 7 during the match against Celta Vigo, suffering a tear in the biceps femoris muscle of the left thigh with the proximal tendon affected. This injury required an estimated absence of about four months.

With 111 days having passed since the injury, the player is now in the final stage of the rehabilitation program, especially after showing good performance in recent training sessions. He participated naturally in all exercises, including sprints, shooting, and tackles, without any pain.

Real Madrid will return to training on Tuesday after three days of rest, and Militao is expected to continue increasing his physical workload in preparation for his official return.

The player's participation in the Mallorca match remains uncertain in terms of minutes, but the main goal is to gradually reintegrate him, especially with the coaching staff's desire for him to also be ready for the anticipated clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
