The Al-Ittihad club is preparing to send its player, Mahamadou Doumbia, to France for a delicate surgery following a severe knee injury he sustained recently.

The club announced via its official account that Doumbia will undergo anterior cruciate ligament surgery next Thursday in the city of Lyon, France, under the supervision of specialist Bertrand Sonnery.

The Malian player is currently continuing a rehabilitation program at the club's premises, under the supervision of the medical staff, with the aim of preparing him optimally before undergoing surgery.

Dumbia was injured during the match between Al-Ittihad and Al-Kholood in the semi-finals of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Cup on March 18, which was a severe blow to the team.

The player joined Al-Ittihad during the last summer transfer window from the Belgian club Royal Antwerp, with a long-term contract extending until 2030.

During the current season, Doumbia participated in 23 matches for Al-Ittihad across various competitions, successfully scoring two goals and providing six assists.
