Carragher Sparks a Shocking Surprise Regarding Salah's Move to Saudi Arabia
Friday 27-03-2026
Jamie Carragher, Liverpool legend, has raised doubts about the possibility of Mohamed Salah moving to the Saudi league after the end of his career with the "Reds."

Carragher's statements came after Salah officially announced his departure from Liverpool at the end of the current season, making him a free agent in the upcoming summer transfer market.

The former English star believes that Salah might postpone his move to Saudi Arabia, preferring to continue playing in European leagues for a while longer.

He explained that the Egyptian international still has great ambitions, particularly regarding achieving more records and participating in the UEFA Champions League competitions.

During his talk on the podcast "The Overlap," Carragher pointed out the possibility of Salah moving to one of the Italian clubs as a logical option to continue competing at the highest level.

It is noted that Liverpool had rejected a massive offer of £150 million from Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023 to sign Salah.

Nevertheless, Saudi league clubs, led by Al-Hilal and Al-Ittihad, continue to monitor the player's situation in preparation for a potential future signing.
