Cristiano Ronaldo's Son Trains at Real Madrid Academy
Cristiano Ronaldo Junior, the son of Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo, trained on Tuesday with the under-16 team at Real Madrid's academy, in a move that could pave the way for his joining the club's youth ranks in the near future.
According to the reliable journalist Mario Cortegana, Ronaldo Junior is 15 years old and plays as a forward. He is currently part of the academy at the Saudi club Al-Nassr, which his father joined in December 2022.
If he moves to Real Madrid, it would be a return to the club where his father made an exceptional history, as Ronaldo Sr. is considered the all-time top scorer for the Royal Club with 450 goals in 438 matches.
During the nine years he spent in the Spanish capital, Cristiano Ronaldo won four UEFA Champions League titles, two La Liga titles, and two Copa del Rey titles, among several other honors.
Ronaldo Junior has previously played in the youth categories for both Manchester United and Juventus, clubs that his father also represented during his professional career, before moving to Al-Nassr Academy.
On the international stage, although he was born in the United States, he received his first call-up to represent Portugal's youth team in May of last year. He made his debut with the Under-15 team in a match against Japan during the Vlatko Markovic International Tournament in Croatia and later also played with the Under-17 team.
Cristiano Ronaldo Sr. (41 years old) has been the captain of the Portugal national team since 2008 and is the team's all-time top scorer with 143 goals in 226 matches. He also led his country to victory in the Euro 2016 tournament, as well as the UEFA Nations League in the 2018-2019 and 2024-2025 editions.
