Zamalek Awaits $750,000 from the African Confederation to Resolve Registration Crisis
Zamalek officials are anticipating a boost to the club's treasury with an amount of $750,000 from the Confederation of African Football in the coming days, which is a reward for qualifying for the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.
According to the "Kora Plus" website, the Zamalek management plans to use this amount to settle the lawsuits filed against the club in order to resolve the registration ban crisis the team is facing.
Zamalek needs approximately $4.7 million to settle dues for 13 cases before the end of next May in order to obtain the African license and ensure participation in continental competitions next season.
The team is expected to return to group training on Thursday in preparation for facing Al-Masry Al-Portsaidi on April 3, as part of the first round of the final stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
