The Return of Militao and Asensio Boosts Real Madrid's Defense
Real Madrid resumed training today, Tuesday, at the Valdebebas sports city, after a day and a half of rest following their league victory over Atletico Madrid. The session brought positive news with the return of Eder Militao and Raul Asensio to work with the group.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo," the team conducted training in the absence of 13 players due to their international commitments, including Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Junior, and Federico Valverde, along with several other national team players.
Meanwhile, injured players Thibaut Courtois, Ferland Mendy, Dani Ceballos, and Rodrygo continued their rehabilitation programs within the club's facilities, while full-backs Dani Carvajal and Fran Garcia underwent special individual training sessions.
Militao, who had been suffering from an injury since last December, participated in the training session at the same pace as the group. He took part in a portion of the training and joined a mini-match, marking a new step towards regaining full fitness. Asensio also joined the group training after recovering from muscle issues, providing the coaching staff with additional options in the backline.
The duo is expected to be ready with the resumption of competitions after the international break, as Real Madrid faces Real Mallorca on April 4 in the Spanish League. In this match, the team aims to strengthen its results and continue competing for the title.
