The Truth About Juan Bezera's Naturalization and Participation with the Egyptian National Team
Wasim Ahmed, a member of the Professional Committee of the Egyptian Football Association, revealed the truth about the rumors regarding the naturalization of Brazilian Juan Bezerra, the star of Zamalek, and his potential participation with the Egyptian national team in the upcoming period.
Waseem Ahmed stated on Facebook: "Any talk about Egypt naturalizing players is completely false. Egypt does not naturalize players, and there is no truth to what some pages and websites have circulated about the naturalization of Zamalek player Bezera or Gabriel Makrikis, who has distant Egyptian roots, or any other players."
He continued: "As for Haitham Hassan, he is an Egyptian player who is not naturalized. Haitham holds an Egyptian passport and an Egyptian national ID card, and his father was born in Egypt."
The Egyptian national team will play two friendly matches during the current March camp against Saudi Arabia and Spain in preparation for the 2026 World Cup competitions.
