Dybala's Departure from Roma Nears, Increasing Chances of Return to Boca Juniors
Friday 20-03-2026
The career of Argentine star Paulo Dybala with AS Roma is heading towards an end, amid increasing possibilities of his return to his homeland through Boca Juniors, as his contract with the Italian team nears its expiration.

The Argentine newspaper "Olé" reported that Dybala's transfer to Boca Juniors has become a highly likely option, especially with his current contract ending on June 30th, and no clear indications of reaching a new agreement with Roma's management.

This comes at a time when the player is experiencing a new season affected by injuries, with his return to the field not expected before late April, which reduces his chances of delivering performances that would convince the club to extend his contract.

The likelihood of his continuation with Roma has significantly decreased due to stalled renewal negotiations, resulting from difficulties in reaching an agreement on salary. Dybala currently earns 6 million euros annually, which does not align with the club's offer.

On the other hand, Boca Juniors' confidence in securing the deal is growing, supported by family factors that could play a decisive role in the player's decision, as returning to Argentina offers him the opportunity to be closer to his family.

Reports also indicated that his wife expressed her desire to return to Argentina, which increases the likelihood of Dybala transferring to Boca Juniors in the near future.
