Wahbi Announces Morocco's Squad

The head coach of the Moroccan national team, Mohamed Wahbi, revealed today, Thursday, the list of players who will participate in the friendly matches against Ecuador and Paraguay, as part of the team's preparations for upcoming commitments.

The announcement was made during a press conference held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, where Wahbi explained that the match against Ecuador will take place on March 27, 2026, in Madrid, Spain, while the team will face Paraguay on the 31st of the same month in Lens, France.

The list saw the call-up of several players for the first time, including Redouane Halhal, Issa Diop, and Yasser Zabiri, in a move that reflects the coaching staff's desire to expand the selection pool and give new players a chance.

The list included goalkeepers Mehdi Benabid, Yassine Bounou, and Mehdi El Harrar.

In the defense line, there were Noussair Mazraoui, Anas Salah-Eddine, Soufiane Alakroani, Achraf Hakimi, Zakaria Alwahidi, Chadi Riad, Redouane Halhal, Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal, Issa Diop, and Ismail Baouf.

In the midfield, the coaching staff selected Osama Targhalin, Nael Ainawi, Rabie Harimat, Samir Al-Murabit, Ezzedine Ounahi, Bilal Al-Khanous, and Ismail Al-Sibari.

In the forward line, the list included Abdel Samad Zalzouli, Shamseddine Talbi, Amine Adli, Soufiane Rahimi, Ayoub El Kaabi, Yassine Jassim, Yasser Zabiri, and Brahim Diaz.

In a related context, Youssef Hadji joined the national team's coaching staff, where he will take on the role of second assistant coach, alongside the first assistant Joao Sacramento.
