Inter Miami bid farewell to the 2026 CONCACAF Champions Cup after drawing 1-1 against Nashville in the second leg of the competition's round of 16, in the match that took place at Chase Field.

Nashville benefited from the away goal rule to secure the ticket to the next round, as the first leg had ended in a goalless draw.

Inter Miami opened the scoring early in the seventh minute through Argentine star Lionel Messi, after a decisive pass from Sergio Reguilon, giving his team an early advantage in the match.

However, Nashville managed to come back in the second half, equalizing in the 74th minute through Cristian Espinoza, thus snatching the qualifying ticket and eliminating the American team from the tournament.

With this result, Inter Miami's journey in the tournament ends, which was among Inter Miami's top priorities for the new season.
