Thursday 12-03-2026
Real Madrid received a new blow after the injury of their French full-back Ferland Mendy during the match against Manchester City in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, at the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

Medical examinations revealed that Mendy suffers from a hamstring injury in his right thigh, with expectations within the club indicating his absence from the field for at least a week.

As a result, the French defender will miss the match against Elche in the Spanish League, in addition to the anticipated second leg against Manchester City next Tuesday.

Mendy had left the match at halftime during the first leg held at the Santiago Bernabeu, after experiencing muscle pain that forced him to not complete the match.
