The father and agent of Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has sparked much speculation about the player's future, especially with his name being linked to a move to Real Madrid in the near future.

His father and agent, Carlos Mac Allister, stated to Win Win: "There are currently no talks with Liverpool regarding the renewal of the player's contract."

Mac Allister has a contract with the English club that runs until the summer of 2028, which gives Liverpool's management some time before considering extending his contract.

The agent of the 27-year-old Argentine player confirmed that his client feels happy and settled at Liverpool, noting that the club is simultaneously seeking to secure contracts for several of its stars early to ensure the team's technical stability in the long term.

The English club announced yesterday the renewal of midfielder Ryan Gravenberch's contract as part of a plan to maintain the team's core players in the coming years.
