Al-Ahly Star Undergoes Urgent Medical Examinations for Injury Against Al-Ittihad

Al-Ahli midfielder Ziad Al-Juhani is undergoing a thorough medical examination after participating while injured during the match against Al-Ittihad in the Jeddah Derby as part of the Saudi Professional League competition.

Al-Juhani participated in the starting lineup for Al-Ahli during the match, before leaving the field in the 67th minute of the second half, when striker Firas Al-Buraikan came on as his substitute.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported that the midfielder will undergo a medical scan on the site of his groin injury at a specialized medical center in Jeddah.

Reports indicated that Al-Juhani had been suffering from this injury before the derby match, but he decided to push through to help his team in the important game.

During the match, the player felt an increase in muscle strain, prompting Al-Ahly's medical team to decide to conduct imaging tests to accurately determine the extent of the injury.

The results of the medical examination are expected to clearly reveal the nature of the injury, as well as determine the duration of treatment and the rehabilitation program the player will undergo.

Al-Ahli secured an important victory over Al-Ittihad with a score of three goals to one in the match held at Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah as part of the twenty-fifth round of the Saudi League.

The goals for Al-Ahli in the match were scored by the Englishman Ivan Toney, the Algerian Riyad Mahrez, and Firas Al-Buraikan, while the Brazilian Fabinho Tavares scored the only goal for Al-Ittihad.

Al-Ahli tops the Saudi League standings with 62 points, while Al-Ittihad holds the sixth position with 42 points after 25 rounds of the competition.
