Saturday 07-03-2026
The Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, the manager of Al-Hilal team, explained the reasons behind his team's delay in extending the lead during the match against Al-Najma, despite the wide victory with four goals to none.

Inzaghi spoke after the match between the two teams in the 25th round of the Saudi Roshn League, which ended with Al Hilal's victory at the Kingdom Arena.

During the press conference, the Al-Hilal coach pointed out that the Al-Najma team has shown better performances in its recent matches, emphasizing that his players were required to maintain focus throughout the game.

Inzaghi indicated that Al-Hilal succeeded in scoring its first goal during the first half, explaining that the team tried to add a second goal early on, but the attempts did not translate into goals before the end of the half.

The Italian coach added that the team managed to score three goals in the second half, noting that the delay in scoring the second goal was the main reason for not securing the match earlier.

Inzaghi expressed his satisfaction with the defensive discipline displayed by Al Hilal during the match, despite the absence of several players like Ruben Neves, Nasser, Tambakti, and Youssef, noting that the overall performance of the team was good.

The Al-Hilal coach emphasized the need to improve the final touch in attack during upcoming matches, so the team can better capitalize on opportunities and achieve positive results.

Inzaghi concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the star defended intensively, especially after the sending off, which reduced the available space and affected Al Hilal's ability to penetrate the defense from the center.
