The Moroccan international Ibrahim Diaz, a player for Real Madrid, was keen to send a farewell message to coach Walid Regragui following the announcement of his departure from coaching the Moroccan national team.

Diaz's interaction came in a comment on the post announcing Regragui's end of his journey with the national team, where he wrote: "Good luck to you, sir, in the future. Thank you for everything."

The Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced the termination of Regragui's role with the national team after a period during which he led the team through several significant milestones, most notably reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup.

Regragui will be succeeded as head coach by Mohamed Wahbi, who will lead the Moroccan national team in the upcoming phase, primarily preparing for participation in the 2026 World Cup.
