Hans Flick, the coach of Barcelona, spoke about his team's preparations for facing Athletic Bilbao in the Spanish League, emphasizing the difficulty of the upcoming match. He also touched on the condition of several of his players and the management of minutes amid the pressure of matches and injuries.

Flick said during the press conference before the match that facing Athletic Bilbao will not be easy, explaining: "Athletic is a great team, and the match will not be easy, as they play at home and will be a different team, but my team is fine, the atmosphere within the team is good, and the training is going well."

The Barcelona coach addressed managing player minutes, saying: "Managing players and minutes is not easy, I talk to all the players, and they know whether they will play or not, I have my own idea, but I also bear this responsibility to the players because they have to learn how to manage themselves over the next two weeks."

He added: "We need everyone until the end of the season, and sometimes we make the decision together, and sometimes I make it, this is the way I want to manage my team."

Regarding the current gap with Real Madrid in the competition, Flick said: "At the moment it is important of course, but it is not decisive, there is still a long way to go until the end of May, and there is still a lot of time and matches."

He continued: "We suffered two new injuries on Tuesday, and they also have injuries, we have to manage the situation and move forward, and we must be optimistic about things that cannot be changed and accept them."

Regarding the injuries the team is suffering from, he said: "These things happen, I am not happy about it, and I said that after the match, we have to talk about the things we can improve, and this is always my responsibility."

He added: "It is not the responsibility of the medical staff or therapists, but my responsibility, I want to talk to the doctors, therapists, and technical staff to see what can be improved, as it relates to managing the team."

He continued: "It is not good for these injuries to happen, especially at a critical moment like now, but we are optimistic, and this gives other players the opportunity to show their quality."

Flick talked about Lamine Yamal and managing his participation, emphasizing the importance of handling player minutes cautiously in the coming period.

He also touched on Joao Cancelo's position, saying: "When we decided to bring him in, it was for this reason, with the ball he is a great player and possesses great quality, and he was very good in the two matches he started."

He added: "It is clear he now has more confidence, and he can play in either of the full-back positions."

Flick praised a number of young players, explaining: "When I watch Cortes play, I really like his confidence with the ball, he reminds me of Philipp Lahm who was able to play in the pivot position or as a right-back."

He continued: "They have already trained with us, and I am excited to see them play."

Regarding the condition of some team players, Flick clarified: "Pedri can play, he is fine, but we have to manage the minutes."

He added: "Gavi will travel with us and train with the team, but he is not ready to play yet, and that might be after the next international break."

He also spoke about Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, saying: "My goal now is to win the remaining two titles for us, and Lewandowski is back, and I appreciate him a lot."

He added: "We will see what happens tomorrow, but he is a player capable of scoring 25 or 30 goals."

Flick pointed to the pressure of matches, saying: "We have to deal with this, as it is natural for this to happen when we play a large number of matches."

He confirmed: "We have La Masia players, and we have a good experience with them, and tomorrow we will have to make some changes, but we have to manage player minutes."
