Ter Stegen Set for Ajax Loan Move

Spanish newspaper Marca has revealed that German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen will leave Barcelona's training camp in England today, heading to the Dutch capital Amsterdam, in preparation for his loan transfer to Ajax for one season.

According to the report, Barcelona will cover around 90% of the goalkeeper's salary along with the taxes related to the deal, marking the second consecutive loan for Ter Stegen after his previous stint with Girona last season.

This move comes after the German goalkeeper's decline in Barcelona's options, a result of injuries, along with the signing of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny and Spanish goalkeeper Juan García, leaving him as the third choice in the goalkeeping position.

Marc-André ter Stegen will get another chance with Ajax, as he will once again work under coach Michel, who previously managed him during his loan spell at Girona.

Barcelona is studying how to compensate for the departure of Marc-André ter Stegen by promoting one of the young goalkeepers to the first team, with three names on the club's table: Iker Rodríguez, Aaron Yakubshvili, and Eider Alier.
