Bono on the Radar of a Top Argentine League Team by the End of the Current Season
Wednesday 04-03-2026
River Plate is anticipating the future of Al-Hilal's goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, in preparation for attempting to sign him after the 2026 World Cup.

Argentinian reports revealed that the River Plate management is considering the Moroccan goalkeeper as part of their plans to strengthen the goalkeeping position with significant international experience.

The club aims to open formal negotiations after the end of the 2026 World Cup, should the financial and technical conditions be conducive to completing the deal.

River Plate had previously tried to explore Bono's situation, but the goalkeeper preferred to continue with Al Hilal as part of their sports project.

The task seems complicated, given Al-Hilal's insistence on retaining his services, in addition to his annual salary estimated at around 10.2 million euros and his market value of 3.5 million euros.

Bono has an impressive European record, having played for Atlético Madrid, Real Zaragoza, Girona, and Sevilla before moving to Al Hilal.

This season, the goalkeeper played 36 matches with his club and the Moroccan national team, conceding 24 goals, reflecting his consistent performance ahead of a summer that may bring decisive developments.
