Officially.. Real Madrid Announces Rodrygo's Cruciate Ligament Injury
The Spanish club Real Madrid announced this evening in an official statement, the nature of the injury suffered by the Brazilian star Rodrygo Goes during the loss against Getafe in the Spanish League yesterday.
The club said in its statement: "After conducting tests today on our player Rodrygo by Real Madrid's medical services, he was diagnosed with a tear in the anterior cruciate ligament and a tear in the lateral meniscus of his right leg."
According to many press reports, most notably the Spanish newspaper 'Marca', the Brazilian star will be absent from Real Madrid's lineup for a period ranging between 6-7 months.
This injury will mean the end of the player's season, and he will also miss the 2026 World Cup with Brazil, with his return expected at the start of the next season.
