Mourinho Decides Nico Paz's Future and Diminishes Inter Milan's Hopes

The "Corriere dello Sport" newspaper reported that Inter Milan has almost no chance of signing the Argentine player Nico Paz, after Portuguese coach José Mourinho expressed his desire to keep the player at Real Madrid for the next season.

The newspaper explained that Mourinho, who is expected to be officially announced as the new coach of Real Madrid, prefers Nico Paz to remain with the royal team in the 2026/2027 season, due to his conviction in his technical abilities.

Corriere dello Sport added in its main headline that Mourinho is keeping Nico Paz, indicating the Spanish club's intention to rely on him in the future.

Nico Paz is nearing the end of his second season with Como, having been awarded the Best Midfielder in the Italian League for the 2025/2026 season.

Real Madrid holds the option to repurchase the Argentine player until 2027, with the club intending to activate this clause during the current summer transfer window.

In the same context, Como coach Cesc Fabregas confirmed that Nico Paz will not be moving to Inter Milan, noting that the 21-year-old player will either return to Real Madrid or continue his journey with Como. He also expressed his dissatisfaction with the statements made by Inter's vice president, who suggested the player's return to Real Madrid in the 2026/2027 season.
