The Algerian Football Federation announced the appointment of former Algerian international Rafik Saïfi as the head coach of the national Olympic team, following an official decision made after the federal office meeting.

The announcement was made through the official website of the federation, where the key decisions from the meeting held yesterday, Saturday, were reviewed. Among them was the assignment of the task of coaching the Olympic team to Saifi.

The new coach is expected to take charge of preparations for the upcoming phase, which includes important commitments, foremost among them the preparation for the 2028 Olympic Games.

The federation is relying on Saifi's international experience and his previous experience with the senior national team to lead the Olympic team in the upcoming phase.
