Yaisle: We Settled the Riyadh Match with Small Details and Are Thinking About What's Next
The German Matthias Jaissle, the head coach of Al-Ahli Saudi Club, commented on his team's 1-0 victory against Al-Riyadh in the match held as part of the 24th round of the Saudi Roshn League, emphasizing that the game was decided by small details.
The only goal of the match came in the 75th minute after an own goal was scored by the Riyadh goalkeeper, mistakenly putting it into his own net, granting Al-Ahli three valuable points in the race for the top.
During the press conference, Jaissle said: "It was a tough match, and in this league, every encounter is decided by simple decisions. I am happy with the players' performance and returning home with the three points."
The Al Ahly coach added: "Every match is decided by small details, especially with the tight schedule, and I am proud of the players who compensated for the absence of some members, and happy with the return of Merih Demiral."
He also pointed out that the team won the Saudi Super Cup at the beginning of the season, and there are still three championships they are competing for.
Yaisleh explained that Riyad Mahrez's absence was part of a rotation policy to rest key players amid the pressure of matches, confirming the player's readiness for the upcoming encounter.
Al-Ahly tops the standings with 59 points from 18 wins, 5 draws, and one loss, continuing its strong performance this season.
