Shobeir Shocks Al-Ahly Fans Regarding Penalties for the Royal Army Match
Thursday 26-02-2026
The media personality Ahmed Shobeir revealed a major surprise regarding the anticipated decisions of the Disciplinary Committee of the African Union concerning the violations that occurred during the match between Egypt's Al Ahly and Morocco's Royal Army.

Shobeir said on Facebook: "Regarding the penalty for Al Ahly and the Royal Army, I have two surprises. My information is that a hearing will take place. According to the regulations, Al Ahly might get one or two matches without an audience with a suspended sentence. However, the situation is currently taking a very strange turn as Motsepe, the president of the African Confederation, is the one managing things and wants to create balance."

He continued: "I am drawing Al Ahly club's attention to the possibility, or even likelihood, of a breach of regulations. The regulations state one or two matches without spectators with a suspended sentence. However, my information, and I hope it's wrong, is that Motsepe wants to create a balance, just as the Royal Army's fans were banned, to also ban Al Ahly's fans."

He added, "I'm warning you now, the information might not be accurate, and he wants to balance it, and there's always some kind of delay. I hope Al Ahly keeps its eyes wide open, as there's a possibility of deviating from the regulations."
