Inzaghi: We are still thinking about the league title
Simone Inzaghi, the coach of Al-Hilal, confirmed that his team is still holding onto its chances of winning the Saudi Professional League title this season, despite the draw against Al-Taawoun and losing the top spot.
Inzaghi said during the press conference after the match: "We are still thinking about the league title, and I have time to show a stronger performance. We played the match to win, scored a goal, and missed some chances in the first half, but in the second half, Al-Taawoun defended more compactly. They are a good and organized team."
The Italian coach pointed out the team's struggle with some absences, explaining that Karim Benzema and Nasser Al-Dosari were unable to participate due to feeling pain, in addition to Mohamed Kader Miti, who complained of pain after yesterday's training.
Regarding his delay in making substitutions, Inzaghi explained: "It wasn't a matter of being afraid of the stars; I saw that the team was performing well and that victory was near, so I didn't find a reason to change."
He also expressed his hope for Hamad Al-Yami's quick recovery, along with Hassan Tambakti, who left the match due to feeling some pain.
