Medical Test Determines Sharahili's Position for Al-Hazm Match
Sunday 22-02-2026
Ahmed Sharahili, the defender of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad, is undergoing a medical examination today, Sunday, at the club's clinic to assess the injury he sustained during the Clasico match against Al-Hilal.

Sharrahili participated in the match that ended in a draw against Saudi club Al-Hilal with a score of 1-1, as part of the 23rd round of the Saudi Roshn League, at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh.

The Union defender suffered a strain in the muscle during the final minutes of the match, which forced the coaching staff to pull him off the field to prevent the injury from worsening.

The Portuguese coach Sergio Conceição decided to substitute Sharhili in the 72nd minute and brought in his teammate Awad Al-Nashri to continue the match.

Conceição is expected to begin preparations for the Al-Hazm match without giving the players a break, as the starters will undergo recovery training, while the substitutes will engage in technical and tactical exercises.

The federation is preparing to face the Saudi club Al-Hazm next Tuesday evening in the city of Ar Rass, as part of the postponed tenth round of the league, awaiting the results of the medical examination.
