Shabab Al Ahli Coach Comments on Team's Loss to Al Ahli Saudi
Paulo Sousa, the coach of Shabab Al Ahli, spoke about the loss his team suffered on Monday against Al Ahli Saudi in the AFC Champions League for the elite.
Shabab Al-Ahli lost 4-3 to Al-Ahli Saudi in a match held yesterday, Monday, in the eighth round of the AFC Champions League for the elite.
Souza said in statements published on the Asian Football Confederation's website: "After the first goal, we tried to get back into the game, but we conceded two goals that were not the result of Al-Ahly's efforts, but due to individual mistakes."
He added, "Nevertheless, the players' reaction was positive, and if there had been more time, we might have been able to come back in the game."
Despite the loss, Shabab Al Ahli succeeded in qualifying for the round of 16 of the tournament.
