Al Ahly's Gambian player Aboubakar Sidik Kinteh is close to completing his rehabilitation program, paving the way for his return to team training in the upcoming period.

The 19-year-old player is undergoing daily physiotherapy sessions at the club's clinic, under the supervision of the medical staff, with the final phase expected to be completed in the coming days.

N'Golo Kante is set to return to group training in about two weeks, according to his rehabilitation program. As a result, he will miss the upcoming match against Al Ahly against Abha.

The player suffered a hamstring tear during Al Ahly's European training camp, which preceded the start of the new season, keeping him away from the team since his arrival at the club.

Kente has not appeared in any official match for Al Ahly so far, as an injury sustained during the preparation period has prevented him from participating with the team.

Al Ahly is gearing up to face Abha on Saturday evening in the second round of the Saudi Pro League, with the player's return coinciding with the completion of his rehabilitation program.

Al Ahly signed Kenteh on July 19, coming from Tromsø in Norway, with a contract lasting five seasons, as part of the club's strategy to strengthen its ranks with young talents.

Kenteh is classified among the promising Gambian talents, having progressed through the youth ranks and gained professional experience in Norway, where he participated in 11 matches last season.
