Official: Vítor Pereira Takes Over as Nottingham Forest Coach
Nottingham Forest Club announced the appointment of Portuguese coach Vítor Pereira as the team's coach with a contract extending until the summer of 2027, according to what the club posted on its official website.
Pereira began his coaching career in Portugal in 2002, before taking charge of Porto in 2011, achieving two consecutive league titles during his successful seasons. After that, he had an experience with Saudi club Al-Ahli, then moved to Olympiacos in January 2015, where he led the team to achieve the domestic double.
Pereira managed clubs like Fenerbahçe and China's Shanghai SIPG, where he won the Chinese Super League title for the first time in his first season, before securing the Chinese Super Cup. He also supervised training for Brazilian clubs such as Flamengo.
Recently, Pereira held the position of coach at Wolverhampton in the English Premier League, where he led the team, which was in the relegation zone, to a six-match winning streak that helped ensure their stay in the league during the 2024/2025 season. He also recorded a record number of goals in the history of their Premier League participation.
