Manchester City Competes with Arsenal to Sign Tonali

Manchester City has entered the circle of interest in signing Italian midfielder Sandro Tonali, the Newcastle United star, during the upcoming transfer window, as part of their efforts to strengthen the midfield with outstanding players.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano explained on his official account on the "X" platform that Tonali is considered one of the strong options for Manchester City in case the deal to sign Elliot Anderson during the summer transfer window falls through.

Romano added that the Sky Blues club is facing competition from Arsenal, which is also showing interest in acquiring the services of the Italian midfielder, who is under contract with Newcastle until the summer of 2028.

Tonali had an impressive season with Newcastle, participating in 53 matches across various competitions, during which he scored 3 goals and provided 7 assists.
