Ahmed Sharahili, the defender of Al-Ittihad team, emphasized the importance of fully focusing on the match against Al-Sadd of Qatar in the AFC Champions League for the elite, before thinking about the anticipated Clasico against Al-Hilal in the Saudi League.

Sharhili's statements came after he participated as a starter in Al-Ittihad's 2-1 victory over Al-Fayha, in the 22nd round of the Saudi Roshn League, at the Al-Inma Stadium in Jeddah.

The Union is preparing for a strong match against Qatar's Al Sadd next Tuesday, as part of the eighth round of the Asian Champions League for the elite, at the Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.

Sharhili confirmed that he is not suffering from an injury, explaining that what he experienced was merely muscle fatigue, and that his condition improved after getting adequate rest.

The Al-Ittihad defender added that he would be ready whenever the coach needs him, urging the fans to continue their support and considering them the 12th player amidst the competition for two important championships.

Sharhili concluded his remarks by emphasizing that the current focus is on Al-Sadd first, and then on the Clasico, noting that Al-Hilal does not rely solely on Karim Benzema, as this is the nature of football.

The Union raised its tally to 37 points, securing the sixth position in the Saudi Professional League standings after surpassing Al-Fayha.
