The Libyan club has completed the procedures for signing a preliminary contract with the Tunisian Esperance midfielder, Onitche Ogbelo, set to join the team starting from June next year, with a contract extending for two seasons.

Press reports revealed that the Union's management is seeking to expedite the Nigerian player's joining during the current winter transfer window, which closes in Libya on Friday, February 13, 2026, by submitting an official financial offer to the Esperance management.

While awaiting the arrival of the offer and the conclusion of negotiations, the management of Espérance Sportive de Tunis has not yet finalized its decision, whether to approve the player's transfer before the end of the Libyan winter transfer window or to keep him in the team until his contract expires next June.
