Thursday 12-02-2026
The journalist Ibrahim Abdel Jawad reported that the relationship between Al Ahly club and Aliou Dieng has reached a dead end, as the Malian player has definitively rejected all attempts to renew his contract, expressing his desire to leave as soon as his official engagement ends at the end of the current season.

Abdel Jawad stated on "On Sport" channel that Dieng's desire to pursue a professional experience outside of Egypt is the main driver of his decision, as the player aspires to compete in European leagues, preferring to leave at the end of his current contract as a free agent.

Aliou Dieng expressed his gratitude to Al Ahly officials for the time he spent with the team, clearly announcing that his next destination will be the European continent, having decisively chosen European professionalism as his first and only option.

Abdel Jawad spoke about the recent rumors regarding the possibility of Dieng transferring to Zamalek after attempts by a businessman affiliated with Zamalek to gauge the player's interest and sign him to the White Castle after his contract ends.

He explained that Dieng showed great loyalty to Al-Ahly with his decisive response, as he confirmed that he would not wear any jersey in Egypt other than the red one, completely blocking any local club that tried to exploit his contract renewal situation to sign him.
