Ibrahim Hassan, the manager of the Egyptian national team, commented on the crisis involving Imam Ashour, the Al-Ahly player, after penalties were imposed on him for failing to accompany the team delegation to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the African Champions League.

Al Ahly Club imposed a financial fine of 1.5 million Egyptian pounds on Emam Ashour, in addition to suspending him for two weeks and excluding him from group training, as part of enforcing internal regulations.

Ibrahim Hassan said in statements on the "On Sport" channel:

"Imam Ashour has a child within him, but is there someone from time to time who tells him false information and makes him lose focus?"

He added: "I am saddened for Imam Ashour because of what happened, as we all put in a lot of effort for him to return to this excellent level."

The manager of the Egypt national team continued: "Imam Ashour will receive all the good things and support from everyone as long as he participates, but if he doesn't, he will return to square one again."

He concluded his remarks by saying: "I hope Imam Ashour reassesses himself quickly because time is very limited. He has many commitments with the Egyptian national team and Al Ahly club. He should apologize to Al Ahly's fans and his club and focus solely on football to return to his peak performance."
