Saleh Gomaa: Al Ahly is the Closest to Winning the Premier League Title
Saleh Gomaa, the former Al Ahly star, believes that the Red Club is the closest to winning the Egyptian Premier League title this season.
He confirmed that he previously supported Zamalek because of his brother Abdullah Gomaa, who was part of the White team's squad.
Saleh Gomaa said in statements on "MBC Egypt 1" channel: "Did I support Zamalek in some matches? Because of Abdullah Gomaa, he made me sympathize with Zamalek and support them in matches."
He added, "I wanted my brother's name to grow, but after Abdullah Gomaa left, there was no sympathy left. I'm an Ahly fan."
Saleh Gomaa said that Al Ahly is the strongest contender to secure the league title this season, followed by Pyramids in second place, and then Zamalek in third. He noted that Zamalek has performed beyond expectations, but the remaining matches in their campaign will not be easy.
