Al-Gharafa has shown interest in signing Moroccan Ashraf Bencherki, the Al-Ahli winger, during the upcoming summer transfer window as part of strengthening its squad for the new 2026-2027 season.

According to Al-Watan newspaper, Al-Ahly's management is indeed considering the possibility of approving the player's departure, given his failure to meet the expected performance level since joining the team.

The report indicated that the idea of Ben Sharqi's departure has become strongly considered within the Red Castle, which may facilitate his transfer to Al-Gharafa during the summer transfer window.

This comes as part of Al-Ahly's plan to restructure the team by releasing some foreign players in preparation for signing new elements capable of making a significant contribution and competing strongly for championships in the upcoming season.
