The Italian Simone Inzaghi, coach of Saudi club Al-Hilal, confirmed that his team performed better in the second half compared to the first half during their match against UAE's Shabab Al-Ahli, which ended in a goalless draw, as part of the seventh round of the AFC Champions League for the elite.

Inzaghi explained in statements to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper that the first half saw Shabab Al-Ahli's superiority, while Al-Hilal succeeded in controlling the match in the second half by closing spaces and delivering a strong performance. He emphasized that the participation of several new players was positive and helped the team impose its style on the field.

The coach pointed out that the anticipated victory for the Tractor team in the upcoming match would mean that Al Hilal would only need one point to secure the top spot in the group.

He praised the performance of the player Murad Hawsawi, who participated as a starter for the first time and successfully fulfilled his role in the midfield excellently.

Inzaghi spoke about the difficulty of the match against a well-organized and strong team led by coach Paulo Sousa. He also praised the performance of Theo Hernandez, affirming that the team has outstanding players who delivered good performances despite the absence of Moteb Al-Harbi from the match.

He added that he gave some players, such as Ruben Neves, Sergej Savic, and Malcom, a rest to ensure their readiness for the upcoming matches.

Al Hilal raised its tally to 19 points, leading Group B in the AFC Champions League for the elite, while Shabab Al Ahli holds the fifth position with 11 points.

It is noted that Al Hilal secured qualification to the round of 16 since the last round, and is preparing to continue competing for the top spot and achieving the best performance in the upcoming matches.
