Al-Hilal Club signed Karim Benzema for a year and a half in a free transfer deal, after he ended his contract with Al-Ittihad Club, to strengthen the first football team's lineup in the upcoming phase.

Benzema said in statements to Al Hilal's official website, after completing his first training session with the team and meeting with the coaching staff led by Italian Simone Inzaghi and his new teammates, that he is very happy with this step, noting that Al Hilal is a great club with a championship mentality and a rich history of achievements.

The French star added: "Al-Hilal is a big club in Asia and can be compared to Real Madrid on the continent. Everything here is amazing; the fans, the style of play, the quality of the players, and the professional mentality within the club."
